This crawling barrel set have so many uses! It can be used as 2 different functions, the children can nest inside the barrel or crawl and roll above!
The sensory crawling barrel is an excellent therapy tool for toddlers, pre-school, day care, special needs education and physical therapy. Rolling over the plug and crawling through the mini tunnel enhance gross motor balance and coordination. This piece can be used together for education purposes or used separately to create an obstacle course.
On the Physical Therapy (PT)
By crawling on Barrel Crawl/Roll, the therapist can produce a rhythmic movement experience for the child. It can also improves the movement dysfunction during the therapy.
Clients can crawl through the barrels to enhance spatial awareness; add movement and they also provide strong vestibular input. If a therapist or client is inside a barrel, it provides heavy work for another client to push the barrel. The sturdy foam enables a therapist to work with a client on top of the barrel for balance and positioning activities.
The Sensory Barrel is lined with vinyl and foam and covered on the outside with soft carpet. Padded edges around the rim help prevent pinched fingers. Colors may vary.
